Tom Delcamp

Chef Thomas Delcamp
, a former graduate from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., has held all of the classical positions in a French, fine dining establishment. With over twenty years in culinary management, he has served in various positions in hotels, country clubs, and catering companies.

Chef Tom was the former owner of Sweet Bay Café, just blocks from the heart of Reading. There were about a dozen tables in this eatery, which took residences on the end of a block of row homes, so the size and the character of the setting established a quintessential cafe air. Here, he believed that conversation was just as important as food, but it just so happened that the food was good, too! Not only did the Café have great food, service, and ambience, but was also a BYOB, so patrons could really enjoy their time dining and relax.

His background and education are rooted in the classic of both food and service, therefore, has the strength and flexibility in developing training programs ranging in variation from Classical French to American Diner.

Currently, Chef Tom Delcamp is the Vice President of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia, where he presently and previously instructed. Not only is his passion for food contagious, but his experience in the restaurant business backs up his enthusiasm in the culinary world.
