Wine author and sommelier Marnie Old is one of the country’s top wine personalities and a breath of fresh air in the stuffy wine world. She is a featured speaker at the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and the host of Uncorked, Philly.com’s weekly webisodes. Her newest book Wine Secrets, is a collection of concise and practical wine advice shared by 40 of the world’s top wine experts. Marnie’s first book was the acclaimed He Said Beer, She Said Wine, a colorful and entertaining debate on food pairing with co-author Sam Calagione, founder of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. Formerly the director of wine studies for Manhattan’s iconic French Culinary Institute, Marnie also served as the founding education chairperson for the American Sommelier Association.
